Socializer Seal of Approval: YumYum Cupcake Truck

Every week, we are featuring small businesses and entrepreneurs who are doing it right! We don’t even have to search the web because these people are right in front of us and we are giving them the “Socializer Seal of Approval”!

From mouth-watering pictures on Instagram to an up-to-date website with truck locations, the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck wins this week’s Socializer Seal of Approval.YumYum Cupcake Truck

Started in 2011 by friends Alex Marin and Joey Conicella, Yum Yum’s retro-styled bakery on wheels brings joy with dozens of flavors to events across Central Florida.  While the flavors are amazing, their marketing and social media savvy is also award-worthy.Yum Yum Cupcake Truck

Their Facebook page has over 10,000 likes, their Twitter has nearly 6,000 followers and their Instagram has over 2,000 followers.  Not only do followers get to look at their drool-worthy creations, but they also get to weigh in on upcoming flavors and vote on monthly featured cupcakes.

Yum Yum rewards frequent customers with a punch card and it’s pretty great, and a tiny bit embarrassing, when they recognize you at the window.  It’s kind of like my personal “Cheers” bar – but with cupcakes.

Check out their schedule and if they are near you, it’s a must visit.  I highly recommend the “Cookies Got Creamed”, “The Dough Dough Bird”, and well, really anything they have to offer up.

I should also mention, they do custom cakes and more.  My husband rocked the house when he brought home a custom cake for my birthday.  Perhaps I really have a problem.

But my cupcake-addiction aside, Yum Yum is the real deal and have used their amazing marketing and branding skills to build an empire.
